Your makeup (and hair) plays a major part in planning a perfect wedding and Citrine Beauty and Bottega is here to make that part of your experience smooth and easy-going. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions by brides.
Q: Why should I hire you?
A: Hiring a professional Bridal Artist for your wedding day will ensure your makeup/hair lasts all day, all night and photographs perfectly! Years of experience and advance training with regards to bridal artistry will ensure usage of best application techniques using quality products and a customized bridal look to match your style.
From the bridal preview to your wedding day, Citrine Beauty and Bottega will be your main pro beauty resource and ready to listen to all your beauty aspirations and concerns. Our main goal is for you to be stress-free and truly enjoy your morning glam time with your bridal party.
Q: Do I need a bridal preview (aka a trial run)?
A: A Bridal Preview is recommended to ensure we lock-down the Bridal Look you are going for on your wedding day. During the preview, we will discuss, and try-on makeup/hair looks and customize it especially for you. We will talk about your inspirations, your bridal style, your likes and dislikes, the overall look of your bridal party, etc. Every Bride wants to be beautiful and confident on their wedding day and knowing your "Bridal Look" ahead of time will ensure your wedding day will go smoothly.
You may bring in some visuals - anything from a photo of your dress, your veil to the flowers that you will be carrying. Please note a Bridal Preview is a separate booking prior to your Wedding Day.
Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes! Citrine Beauty travels to your on-site prep location - it can be your hotel, your venue’s bridal suite or your private residence. Our services include $100 local day of fee and a standard $100 per hour travel after leaving Wilmington.
Parking or Valet fee (if necessary) will be covered by the client.
Please contact us directly if you are having a destination wedding. Locations over 110 miles from Wilmington may require hotel accommodation /overnight stay the night before the event to ensure that we are in close proximity to you and your event.
Q: When should I schedule a preview?
A: As soon as possible! Finding the right Bridal Artist is one of the most important tasks on a Bride’s to-do list. Usually we recommend scheduling your trial no later than 2-3 months prior to your wedding day.
Q: Do you airbrush?
A: Yes, we do! Citrine Beauty Makeup Artists use Temptu Airbrush Makeup. Airbrush is lightweight, gives a range of customizable coverage and has a flawless skin-like finish. It is long-wearing, transfer and water resistant which is perfect for Brides.
You can opt out for airbrush, but it is included in the price for Brides! If anyone in the bridal party would like airbrush it’s a $15 add on.
Q: What makeup products do you use?
A: We carry and use a wide variety of quality professional makeup and hair products and takes pride in keeping my kit clean and sanitary. Brands include Temptu Pro, Senna, Viseart, Charlotte Tilbury, Stila, Becca, MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Inglot and more.
We also carry The Makeup Light 2.0 LED light panel and a professional makeup artist chair.
Please feel free to let your artist know if there is a specific product or brands you prefer, or if you may have product allergies or sensitivities.
Q: How do I book you and how early?
A: Citrine Beauty is launching in 2023. From there, we start booking a year out in advance, so the sooner the better!
To book your wedding day, please fill-out the bridal questionnaire. Once we have your important event/wedding details, a estimate then service agreement will be sent to you on the email address you have provided.
A signed contract and a non-refundable retainer is required in order to reserve your date. Once all booking requirements are received, you will receive a booking confirmation. Once you are confirmed, a timeline will be created and can be modified up to 60 days prior to your wedding date.
Q: Do you require a service minimum?
A: We do have a 4-service makeup minimum to book a wedding day or a Bride Only fee applies. Additionally, we offer makeup only packages, or hair & makeup packages. We do not offer hair only packages. Please send a message for more information.
Q: Do you work with the LGBTQ+ Community?
A: ABSOLUTELY! We love our LGBTQ+ friends and family! Please see our Beauty Inclusivity promise on our services page. We would be proud to be a part of your day!
Q: I have a big bridal party; how can you help me?
A: There is no bridal party to big. In general, Citrine Beauty has a core team of two makeup artists and two hair stylists. We can guarantee quality of work up to 8 services requested (hair + makeup, or makeup alone).
For bridal parties requesting more than 8 services, we try our best to secure an additional artist for your wedding day at an additional fee, however, this all depends on the other artist's availability upon inquiry/request.
Additional artist(s) request should be submitted no later than 60 days before wedding date.
Q: Do you offer services for special occasions other than weddings?
A: Yes, Citrine Beauty offers makeup services for Engagement Photos, Prom, Military Balls, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Family Photoshoots, Maternity Photos, Boudoir, Senior Portraits and more. Please email us directly citrinebeautybottega@gmail.com for these inquires. We will ask to see inspiration photos of hair and makeup for these events as there is no preview/trial run.
Q: Can Britt (Brittani Antoinette) be booked though Citrine Beauty and Bottega for agency work?
A: If you are wanting to book Britt/Brittani Antoinette for a full day for photo shoots, e-commerce, agency work, etc. She will need to put you in contact with Directions USA, to discuss rates with her agent.
Agency work is not: Engagement Photos, Prom, Military Balls, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Family Photoshoots, Maternity Photos, Senior Portraits, Boudoir.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash and money transfer via Venmo and Zelle. We accept card payment though our automated system.
Q: Do you have insurance?
A: Yes! Citrine Beauty has an active General / Professional Liability Policy.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Citrine Beauty does have a 60-day cancellation policy. If you wish to cancel all services 60or more days prior to your event, your outstanding balance will be waived, with the exception of the non-refundable retainer fee. Canceling after 60-day listed timeframe will result in any outstanding balance due immediately.
Q: Are you vaccinated against Covid-19?
A: Yes. We would like to let you know that Citrine Beauty remains vigilant about the pandemic and along with extreme health, safety & sanitation measures, our team is fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Booster shot included. Both your and our health & safety matters to us. Additionally, all artists have masks if you would feel more comfortable. Just let us know what you would like.
